AZAWAGH territory is a region of Niger bordered :

- to the the North by the Azawagh Valley
- to the East by the Aïr Massif, favourable for hikes and hikes with dromedaries,
- to the South by the Tahoua-Agadez road
- to the West by the Adrar of  Ifaghas  Massif in Mali

South Azawagh, spread over around 15.000square kilometres. It is a region where people traditionally are nomadic; however, the populations, in majority Tuareg and Peuls bororos, have begun recently to adopt  a more settled way of life.

Economic activity mainly relies upon breeding calves, goats, sheep and dromedaries.
